Studio Eger were asked to create a temporary exhibition exploring the relationship between childhood and gardening for the Royal Horticultural Society.
Studio Eger developed a lively colour palette which flooded the walls of the gallery, to illustrate four ways in which children interact with the natural world. A leaf motif was used throughout the space, lent from a display of puppets: characters from the beloved children’s TV series ‘The Herbs,’ exhibited for the first time since they were retired from production.
Kiss-cut panels with illustrations from the RHS archive were enlarged to child-height, to encourage interaction from children visiting the exhibition. A feedback section invited visitors to write and display their first gardening memory, prompting charming responses from young and old alike.
